Your retainer is made by state-of-the-art computerized equipment. This assures the product will fit perfectly according to the impression you send us. As a result, over 98% of our retainers fit perfectly. However, if for some reason your retainer does NOT fit properly, don’t panic. There are two possibilities.
First, it is common for a new retainer to feel tight when you first receive it. This tightness is caused by slight movement of your teeth that occurs between the time you take your impression and the time you receive your new retainer. Give it a couple of days and your teeth will realign to the shape of the retainer making it fit comfortably.
The second possibility, is that something went wrong while taking the impression. If we don’t have an adequate impression of your teeth, the result is a retainer that will not fit properly. In this case, it may be necessary to take a new impression. This possibility is why we urge getting approval on your self taken impression before sending it back. Once you take a new impression, please send it back with the retainer that didn’t fit, along with the old impression. We’ll then make a new retainer from the new impression and promptly ship it back to you.
Lastly, don't stress, you're eligible for a free replacement, for any defective product within 60-days of receipt.
Your new retainer will not fit correctly if you still have any additional material* on the tooth surface. If you currently have any of these on your teeth, you will have to have them removed before you take an impression.
*If you have a bonded permanent retainer on your top or bottom teeth, ClearRetain can still fabricate a clear retainer for you.
If your retainer cracks or breaks due to normal usage within the first 60 days (120 days for premium retainers), we will replace it for free using your existing impression or Filed Smile.
Keep in mind, your retainer's lifespan can be shortened considerably if you grind or clench your teeth while wearing at night. If your retainer has cracked and you would like a replacement, please consider getting a grind guard retainer. This product will of course still retain your teeth, but is a bit thicker and will take more clenching and grinding.

Our retainers are custom made to prevent your teeth from shifting. If you have loose fillings, crowns, veneers, bridges, or significant tooth decay... wearing retainers, night guards, or other oral appliances can potentially exacerbate an exsisting issue. The purpose of a retainer is to protect the expensive investment you made to have a beautiful smile. If you lose or break your retainer then you can immediately use your backup retainers to prevent your teeth from shifting at all, for continued protection of your investment.

I thought everything went well and the retainer I received was of great quality. The only thing I wasn’t prepared for is how long it took from start to finish. About 5+ weeks. Other than that everything was great.

Getting a retainer has never been easier! From the start, the impressions were really simple to do. the customer service team was great at communicating and letting me know how to fix my impressions so my retainers can be perfect. Once my impressions were approved, they were shipped quickly and i received them in perfect condition. I love that they added the initials too, it’s a nice touch. Overall, i would recommend family and friends to get there retainers here and I will definitely be ordering replacement retainers from here if I ever need another one.
It was a fairly straightforward process. My new retainer is much tighter than my old one, but considering the old one had started to crack, I'm thinking the old one wasn't helping all that much anymore. :-) But I have a new one, and if something happens to this one, I know where to get another one!

Retainer fit a little tight at first but the more you wear it your teeth get used to it. Definitely recommend for the price and the process was smooth. Will order from here again if I need another retainer replacement in the future!
Impression kit has more than enough impressions for you to get it right. So if you mess up once you should it get it by the 2nd or 3rd try. Convenient return box with your impressions. I would've just prefer it would be easier with communication n understanding. Because I was told from my 1st purchase I could reuse the impressions. When I try to do that I was sent a link to repurchase the kit. So now I have a whole lot of play dough n mouth trays that I didn't need in the 1st place. I just needed to reorder from last impressions. Which cause me to take a long time to order since that step was a bit more difficult. But everything was okay n fit perfect.

Every orthodontist quoted $500 or more for a retainer; I am grateful that clearretain is actually affordable. I will definitely be recommending them to everyone I know as well as purchasing from them again!

They always hurt and I can’t wear them . I could wear this night guard all day . It is amazing ! Buy this it will change your life and sleep .

Impression kit is a little difficult to do just because of the little time you have to mix and put on your teeth, but other than that it is easy to follow. I’d recommend getting extra molding putty. The retainers themselves are thin and comfortable. They’re much thinner than the ones I got at the dentist. They feel durable and are hardly noticeable when on.
Fits perfectly! So much cheaper than at the orthodontist! And we can reorder from the file which is wonderful.
